- A HEPA filter designed to strain out 99.7% of airborne microbes, like mold spores, dust motes, and pollen motes.This is great for those with allergies, as HEPA filters help remove allergens.This product is washable, and should be washed at least monthly by running it beneath cold water and gently scrubbed with a toothbrush, though you may need to clean more regularly if you are in a rural environment or have pets;
- A Carbon filter, like the ones used in military gas masks, designed to capture gasses, airborne chemicals, and pollutants that can irritate the eyes, nose, and throat. This cannot be cleaned, and should be replaced at least yearly, though heavy use of pollutants or chemicals may require more frequent changes;
- A Titanium Oxide (TiO2) filter that works in conjunction with UV light to destroy Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and converts 95% of such pollutants into harmless water vapor. This SHOULD NOT be washed, but it should be replaced every 2 years;
